What Do You Want™
Chip Zdarsky creates comic books and PERSONAL movies from his home in Toronto, Ontario. For almost 14 years he worked at the National Post newspaper as a columnist, illustrator and Spider-Man under the name Steve Murray. In 2013 he made the jump from the dying print industry to a different dying print industry as a comic-boy, co-creating the award-winning comic Sex Criminals with Matt Fraction. Since then he's done work for Marvel, DC, Image and Archie, but his true passion is writing bios for webpages.
For more information go to zdars.co and—oh wait, you're there! Good stuff.
Sometimes! But really he’s a pretty busy guy with a lot of friends (because he’s so popular) so he doesn’t have a lot of free time.
Sadly, no. Work is too crazy and any drawing he does has to be on his “hit” comic PUBLIC DOMAIN by law. If he's at a show, however, he usually does head sketches for people because the human body is still a mystery to him.
Wow. Have you SEEN Chip’s “art?” He’s in no position to review portfolios, trust me.
Yeah.
Sorry, sorry. It’s “IT’S CHIP ZDARSKY’S NEWSLETTER, OKAY?” and it’s okay.
Updated list because comics “writer” Matthew Rosenberg gave me shit for not posting these here.
Go subscribe to my goddamn newsletter, MATTHEW!!!

Download the Official ZCN Rate Card to find out more!
And to advertise, fill out the contact form below and Chip’s Business Manager will gladly speak with you! It’s JUST THAT EASY!
Use the below only for convention signing requests or ZCN advertising queries.
Note! These go directly to Chip’s manager Deborah and Chip does not read them! So if you want to send him a message about why Spiderman loves Mary Jane, this isn’t the place. Where IS the place? Nowhere, it turns out.
Deborah will not respond to interview or signature requests, sorry!
Also, Chip is not looking for new work, unless you’re Kevin Feige wanting him to write the new Frog-Man MCU show. So please no requests to draw your comics’ cover or to be a part of your vertically-integrated NFT entertainment paradigm shifting startup.
Thanks!
